Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service Counsellor Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service (DFVSAS) Counsellor to join our team.
As a DFVSAS Counsellor, you will provide high-quality, culturally competent, trauma-informed therapeutic counselling and support services to individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence, sexual assault, and problematic sexualised behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality, culturally competent, trauma-informed therapeutic counselling and support services.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care and support services.
* Conduct psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and develop safety plans for clients.
* Provide advocacy, psychoeducation, and group work to promote client well-being and empowerment.
Requirements:
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
* Current AHPRA Registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* A minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience post-graduation providing trauma-informed therapeutic support services.
