Gain hands-on experience in park and garden maintenance across Wollongong's outdoor locations, working closely with experienced supervisors and mentors.
You will learn to use tools and equipment safely and effectively, carry out tasks like lawn mowing, garden care, cleaning BBQs and amenities, and litter collection. This is a unique opportunity for current Year 11 and 12 students who are female and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, keen to work outdoors and learn new skills.
The program includes working full-time for three weeks as part of a small, supportive team. You will learn how our team works together to maintain public spaces for the enjoyment of the community and visitors.
