What you'll do
Based in Brisbane, the Project Procurement Lead is responsible for managing the acquisition of Major Equipment and Facilities Construction Services, whether covered as part of major Greenfields construction or a campaign of Brownfields scope. This role plays a significant part in supporting the Development Projects departments across all aspects of procurement.
* Accountability for end-to-end procurement and contracting life-cycles.
* Collaborate with stakeholders effectively and gain an understanding of the market to assist with developing strategic category plans for PNG specific Development Project portfolios.
* Develop sourcing strategies and conduct sourcing activities (e.g. tenders) as required.
* Develop negotiation plans in collaboration with stakeholders. Lead complex negotiations and coach negotiation teams to ensure a united approach.
* Manage contract performance of suppliers (inclusive of KPIs) within their respective categories.
* Align and educate internal Santos stakeholders on the performance of contractors.
* Deliver specific cost and business efficiency outcomes.
* Support procurement to pay activities within assigned procurement sub-categories.
* Manage variations, claims, and disputes. Liaise with related leadership team, and key stakeholders to manage company post contract award risks.
* Challenge the status quo with a strategic mindset and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop cost effective ways for delivering the scope for these categories.
* Apply expertise and deliver plans that align with the company's strategy.
* Adapt to change and have a performance mindset to achieve the desired outcomes of the culture.
* Understand the team's purpose and tasks that need to be delivered.
* Uphold and ensure compliance with all company standards and procedures.
What you'll bring
* Significant experience in procurement specialising in project focussed direct procurement & contracting for master terms and multi project call-off style contracts.
* Previous experience in oil and gas, mining or resources sector.
* Senior experience and expertise in Procurement, Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
* Certificate or Member status of CIPS or equivalent (desirable).
* Ideally tertiary qualified with relevant undergraduate degree (desirable).
