Gunalda Hotel, a well-established hospitality venue in regional Queensland, is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed hospitality professional looking for stable, long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities :
* Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food items in accordance with menu requirements
* Planning and organising daily kitchen operations
* Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
* Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards are met
* Managing kitchen equipment and maintaining cleanliness of food preparation areas
* Assisting with stock control and minimising food wastage
* Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook
* Australian qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher)
* Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
* Full-time availability
