Workshop Manager
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Engineering team in Adelaide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting a dedicated workshop for Explosive Ordnance Projects. This will involve implementing Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools onsite, overseeing servicing and calibration of technical equipment, promoting a strong safety culture to ensure Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) compliance, providing technical input for user requirements, maintaining documentation such as Work Orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, and Equipment Maintenance procedures, and supporting customer training and competency management as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and support a dedicated workshop for Explosive Ordnance Projects
* Implement Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool onsite
* Oversee servicing and calibration of technical equipment
* Promote a strong safety culture to ensure Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) compliance
* Provide technical input for user requirements
* Maintain documentation such as Work Orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments, and Equipment Maintenance procedures
* Support customer training and competency management as needed
Candidate Requirements:
* Significant experience in manufacturing or production, leading safety-critical technical operations
* Trade qualifications as a mechanical or electrical technician (essential)
* Certificate IV in WHS (preferred)
* Hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environment (essential)
* Experience leading teams within quality management frameworks
* Knowledge of improvement processes like Lean or Six Sigma
* Ability to engage positively with teams
