How would you like to be part of a Health Safety & Training (HS&T) team during the progression of a mine from production through to rehabilitation?

There's also great prospects to transition across to our next operation.

* Koolan Island Operation - Spectacular scenery.
* 8/6 (12-hour day).
* Mobilise from Perth, Broome or Derby.
* Reporting to Health, Safety & Training Superintendents.

You'll be working with a supportive and hands-on management team, Site Medic and Emergency Services Coordinator. Our Department Superintendents, Managers and site leaders will appreciate your H&S advice and guidance.

We'll also be asking you to:

* Support operational H&S strategy / improvement projects.
* Create / maintain plans, procedures, SWI's & guidelines.
* Assist other departments to develop risk assessments, change management, inspection and auditing programs.
* Conduct regular coaching, behavioural-based observations & critical control verifications.
* Lead H&S Representative meetings, site health and safety forums.
* Maintain site Risk Register, oversee corrective actions / risk mitigation.
* Advise / Guide employees - Procedures, SWI's and JHA's.
* Support incident investigations. Follow-up actions.
* Coach H&S Representatives as appropriate.
* Carry out duties safely, while not causing environmental harm and respecting the indigenous culture.

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

* Certificate IV Occupational Health and Safety or higher.
* Open Cut Mining experience in a safety role - 2 years or more.
* Good communication / interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
* Ability to conduct workplace audits, inspections and investigations.
* Working knowledge of the WHS Act 2020.
* General awareness of current emergency response practices.
* Current WA Drivers License.

It's not essential, but formal ICAM qualifications and / or Advanced First Aid would be well regarded.
