About the role
The Operational Risk Manager ispart of the Operations Division Risk andpliance team at Cbus, which sets the direction and strategy for risk management andpliance to ensure that operational risk within both the Finance department and vendors (critical third parties) more broadly are identified, understood, and managed effectively.
The Operational Risk Manager will assist the Head of Finance and Vendor Risk to develop and embed the line 1 operational risk strategy for the Finance department and critical third parties across Operations and the Investment and Member domains. The strategy should drive an optimised and sustainable balance between risk, reward and support to ensure the integrity of financial, tax and regulatory reporting and vendor risk management to ensure that the risk profile of critical vendors is understood, vendors are managed to a consistent vendor risk framework and that business owners are supported across Cbus.
About you
1. 10+ years of experience working in operational risk as a senior specialist in financial or professional services.
2. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach and a high attention to detail.
3. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
4. Ability to build strong relationships.
5. Effectivemunication and presentation skills.
6. Knowledge of legislative & regulatory requirements applicable to regulated financial service providers.
