About the Role
The Arts, Heritage & Libraries branch enlivens and enriches the lives of residents and visitors through the provision of library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs.
As the program assistant you will, support daily operations and public programs at Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct and Landsborough Museum, through guided activities, basic collection care and general tasks, working under supervision to enhance visitor experience and site presentation.
Key Duties:
Support daily operations and programs at Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct and Landsborough Museum, including:
* Assist in the delivery of public programs including guided tours, talks, workshops, events, school holiday activities, and curriculum-aligned educational sessions.
* Assist with collection-related tasks, including cataloguing, object documentation, and research, under supervision.
* Support the implementation of best practice measures in preventative conservation and housekeeping processes, including exhibition maintenance, under supervision
About you
As someone with a genuine interest in museums, heritage, history and cultural programming, you enjoy being part of environments that share stories and connect visitors with the past.
You bring good communication and interpersonal skills, and you’re comfortable engaging with a wide range of visitors while supporting the daily activities of the team.
You follow instructions well, work reliably under supervision and contribute positively to a welcoming, safe and professional setting.
