You'll be stepping into a supportive finance team where your work will make an immediate impact, freeing up senior leaders, improving reporting accuracy, and helping clean up legacy issues. For the right person, there is strong potential for permanent.
The Opportunity In this role, you'll take ownership of core month-end deliverables, help resolve outstanding accounting issues, and support the business through a period of ongoing transformation. If you enjoy a mix of structured accounting and investigative problem-solving, this will suit you perfectly.
What You'll Be Doing
* Preparing month-end journals including accruals and prepayments
* Completing Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Allocating costs across multiple business units
* Supporting intercompany reconciliations and month-end close
* Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards
* Assisting with monthly management and group reporting, including commentary and variance analysis
* Responding to stakeholder queries and providing accurate financial insights
* Supporting GST and FBT work (nice to have, not essential)
* Maintaining spreadsheets and databases to track key information
* Assisting with AP clean-up and purchase price variance investigations
* Supporting the team with compliance and internal controls
* Contributing to process improvement and ad hoc finance tasks
What They're Looking For
* 3–5 years financial accounting experience (ideally CPA/CA qualified)
* Strong capability across month-end, journals, reconciliations, and general ledger support
* Confident analysing complex or incomplete data and resolving issues independently
* Experience in a product-based, inventory, logistics, wholesale, or industrial environment (advantageous but not essential)
* Understanding of intercompany transactions; exposure to GST/FBT helpful
* Proficient with ERPs (experience with Dynamics 365 or Pronto a bonus, but training will be provided)
* Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills
* Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and navigating a busy finance environment
