About the role
Glassons is seeking an experienced Stockroom Manager to join our team at Harbour Town. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our stockroom, ensuring efficient inventory management and stock control. This is a hands-on role that will play a crucial part in supporting our retail store and contributing to the overall success of the business.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and supervise the stockroom team, providing leadership, training and development
* Oversee the receiving, processing, and distribution of merchandise according to company policies and procedures
* Maintain accurate inventory records and generate regular stock reports
* Implement effective stock control measures to minimise shrinkage and wastage
* Liaise with the store management team to ensure timely replenishment of stock
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient storage and handling solutions
* Ensure the stockroom environment is well-organised, clean and adheres to health and safety standards
* Helping pick and pack products to prepare and send out online customer orders.
What we're looking for
* Minimum 1 years' experience in a stockroom management or warehouse role, preferably within the retail industry
* Strong knowledge of inventory management best practices and warehouse operations
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
* Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant digital tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team
* Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Passion for the retail industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
