We are seeking an Accountant to join our team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and completing financial statements and income tax returns for Self-Managed Super Funds, as well as constructing and maintaining logical and accurate working papers. The role involves developing client relationships and providing guidance on SMSF-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and completion of financial statements and income tax returns for SMSFs.
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly compliance obligations, such as Business Activity Statements.
* Preparation of fund financial statements.
* Construction and maintenance of logical and accurate working papers.
* Preparation of reconciliations.
* Liaising with clients to answer queries, provide advice and updates on SMSF matters.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree.
* Actively completing or willing to complete the Chartered Accountant (CA) Program, Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Program or equivalent professional certification.
* 12 months' experience in professional services with an emphasis on accounting and taxation.
* Prior exposure and understanding of SMSFs will be advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Initiative and a can-do attitude.
* A strong willingness to learn.
