Hamilton Island's Sydney office has an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team, based in St Leonards.

Where you'll make an impact
As part of a Finance team of 14, and working within a smaller Accounting team of 4, you will support the integrity of financial data, contribute to financial reporting, and help safeguard company assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and process transactions relating to trust accounts
* Prepare reconciliations of selected general ledger accounts
* Prepare and post journals as required
* Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
* Liaise with external auditors as required
What we're looking for
You're a positive, proactive, and detail‐oriented professional who enjoys working as part of a team to achieve shared goals. You thrive in a fast‐paced environment and take pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
To be successful, you'll need
* Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or accounting role
* Strong Excel and computer literacy skills
* Good understanding of accounting principles
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
* Progress toward or completion of CPA or CA (advantageous)
