About the Audio Engineer Role
We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operational testing of audio/communications facilities in-field and in-studio projects.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the project's Audio Director and Technical Manager to ensure that all audio communication facilities are functioning and patched to be operationally ready by the scheduled hand-over time.
* Key Responsibilities:
o To ensure all audio communication facilities in and around the OB compound are functioning and patched to be operationally ready by the scheduled hand-over time.
o To liaise with the project's Audio Director and Technical Manager to ensure you are fully briefed on the size, scope, production schedule of the in-field audio and communications facilities required.
o Ensure the environment of the audio and communications facilities is neat and tidy and professionally presented and does not pose any danger to the public or co-workers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Fundamental knowledge of Riedel and RTS communications systems.
* Basic knowledge of audio consoles, with particular focus on LAWO and Calrec.
* Operational experience in television broadcasting, preferably with a good understanding of these devices at an Engineering level.
* Able to work weekends and evenings, as sport is a predominant part of the role.
* Minimum 3 years of television broadcasting experience preferred.
