Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of safety in all activities and maintaining plant and equipment to a high level of availability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring that all activities are carried out to the highest standard of safety in accordance with Company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations.
* Ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained to a high level of availability.
* Planning and performance maintenance activities within maintenance cost targets.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of maintenance plans and schedules, including shutdowns to achieve maximum plant reliability.
* Overseeing the maintenance schedule and record of maintenance activities.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of the maintenance safety management plan and maintenance planning systems.
* Supervising maintenance personnel in the performance of their duties.
* Closing liaison with supply personnel on purchasing and inventory matters.
* Closing liaison and cooperation with the processing team to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability.
* Setting clear goals and expectations, providing feedback and addressing employee performance issues in a timely manner.
* Maintaining workshop facilities and equipment in good working order.
* Assisting with the supervision of projects undertaken by the Maintenance Department.
* Mentoring the development of maintenance personnel.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A mechanical trade qualification.
* A proven history in supervising / performing high standards of maintenance.
* Experience in the supervision of mechanical plant and equipment for a gold processing plant.
* Good organisation skills.
* Good computer literacy skills (Pronto highly regarded).
* Working knowledge of obligations under the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
* Industry certificates, including High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift (LF), WAH and Confined Spaces.
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Reliability Engineering desirable.
* Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (Frontline Management) desirable.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable.
* Experience or qualifications in vibration monitoring desirable.
* Dual trade qualified desirable.
