CENTRAL PROJECTS FUNCTION
Bravus' Central Projects Function delivers major capital works across Facilities, Infrastructure, Processing, Rail Systems and Technology for the Carmichael Rail Network, Bowen Rail Company and Bravus Mining and Resources.
The team delivers large-scale mining and rail projects valued at more than A$100 million annually, supporting assets with decades-long operational life and a strong future pipeline of work. This provides the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment across both rail and mining projects.
About The Role
The Civil Supervisor will support the planning and delivery of civil works across Mine and Rail Operations, working across projects including water infrastructure, roads, rail, camps, maintenance facilities, fuel storage and associated assets.
This role is focused on supervising construction contractors, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently and in line with approved plans, specifications and standards.
There are three (3) maximum-term positions are available from February 2026 to November 2026, with roles being site-based and travelling from the Townsville, Rockhampton or Bowen hubs.
Responsibilities Of The Role Include
* Supervise contractor-delivered civil works to ensure compliance with project scope, specifications, safety and quality requirements.
* Coordinate with engineering and planning teams on scope, schedule, constructability, risk and resource requirements.
* Monitor project progress, productivity and costs, and report on performance, risks and outcomes.
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks, implementing corrective actions where required.
* Provide technical guidance in the field, including interpretation of drawings and resolution of construction issues.
* Manage equipment and material usage to support efficient and cost-effective delivery.
* Ensure all activities comply with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture.
* Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and regulators.

Necessary
Other qualifications and attributes required include:
* Relevant trade qualification or demonstrated experience supervising civil construction works
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
* SARC – Safely Access the Rail Corridor (nationally accredited)
* RIW Card
* Standard 11 Coal Induction and eligibility to be appointed as a supervisor on a coal mine
* Current open C Class Driver's Licence
* Strong technical knowledge of civil construction methods and standards
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation
* Experience coordinating works across multiple projects
* Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving and time-management skills
Desired
* Tertiary qualification in a related discipline
* Supervisory experience in mining, heavy haul rail or major infrastructure environments
* Mental Health First Aid
* HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
* Current rail and coal medicals and certifications (S1, S2, S3, SARC, RIW)
