Land Use Planning Leadership Role
This is a high-level leadership position within the Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the Department's objectives.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the Land Use Planning Branch, participating in strategic and operational planning to drive business outcomes.
We are seeking an individual with exceptional leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of land use planning principles and regulations.
The ideal candidate will be able to identify internal and external threats and opportunities, and develop strategies to achieve the Branch's objectives. They will also negotiate and collaborate with other government agencies and industry stakeholders to support the delivery of State land use objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Land Use Planning Branch.
* Participate in strategic and operational planning to shape and implement the Department's objectives.
* Identify internal and external threats and opportunities, and take steps to shape strategies, regulation, and government decisions to achieve the Branch's strategic objectives.
* Negotiate and collaborate with other government agencies and industry to support the delivery of State land use objectives; communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Represent the Department in inter-departmental meetings, working groups, committees, and at public forums.
* Provide high-level advice to the Department and the Minister for Mines on land use policy and approvals.
