About Us
Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 22 offices with 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are dedicated engineers and geologists providing quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
As a graduate at CMW, you'll be treated as an industry professional from the start. After completing necessary training and inductions, you'll gain practical field skills essential for our technical work. You'll have access to senior staff to guide your early career and accelerate your growth. You'll experience the full project lifecycle, preparing you for a career from day one. Unlike larger firms, you'll not be siloed or assigned low-responsibility tasks initially. Instead, you'll learn technical, practical, and project management skills, aiming to manage projects independently within 3-4 years.
Our Perth office plans to hire two graduates starting November 2025: one for our site investigation team and another for our design team.
A Typical Day
Graduates typically undertake fieldwork, including logging boreholes, hand augering, observing test pits, and supervising piling, retaining walls, or ground improvement sites. In the office, tasks include processing logs and samples, writing reports, and assisting project managers.
Our projects are diverse: from community housing developments in Rotorua, windfarm piling supervision in Queensland, to CPT testing at Jandakot Airport in Perth.
