Description Reporting to the relevant site leadership team, the HSE Advisor – Underground is responsible for delivering proactive health, safety, and environmental support across underground operations, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in safety performance. What’s on Offer Competitive salary package Even time roster Full-time permanent position Employee Assistance Program Generous employee referral incentives Salary sacrificing options available for FIFO employees Paid parental leave Discounted health insurance options Key responsibilities include: Acting as the primary on-site contact for all HSE-related matters Assisting with the interpretation and application of HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements Responding to incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring timely reporting and effective follow-up Leading or supporting incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning Supporting the development and continuous improvement of HSE systems aligned with ISO standards Conducting safety inspections, audits, and site walks to identify hazards and improvement opportunities Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training Profile The successful candidate will be a motivated and experienced HSE professional with a strong background in underground mining operations. You will be confident working autonomously while engaging effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the business. You will bring: Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HSE advisory role within underground mining or heavy industry Strong understanding of WHS legislation and relevant ISO standards Demonstrated experience in incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits Experience delivering HSE training and facilitating safety initiatives Solid working knowledge of HSE systems and reporting tools Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Additional Requirements: Operational underground mining experience across the mining cycle (Essential) Current First Aid Certificate Dangerous Goods Security Card Valid Australian Manual Driver’s Licence National Police Clearance Ability to pass pre-employment medicals Full Australian working rights WA-based candidates preferred Desirable: Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Shotfirer’s licence Experience with safety systems such as INX Interested?
