An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join a well-established and respected developer–builder group with a strong pipeline of work across the Fraser Coast and Sunshine Coast.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will take a senior, hands-on role in the delivery of a 7-storey multi-residential project on the Fraser Coast — a landmark development setting a new benchmark for the region.
This role is central to the commercial, contractual, and financial success of the project. Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you will manage all aspects of head contract and subcontract administration, cost control, progress claims, variations, forecasting, and risk management.
While the project is based on the Fraser Coast, occasional travel to our Sunshine Coast head office will be required.

Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
· Administer the head contract and all subcontract agreements
· Manage progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and final accounts
· Ensure contractual compliance and protection of company and client interests
· Maintain accurate records of delays, claims, and contractual correspondence
Financial & Cost Control
· Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
· Establish and maintain robust financial control systems
· Monitor expenditure, identify variances, and proactively manage risks
· Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts
· Process subcontractor claims and payment schedules in accordance with legislation
Procurement & Subcontract Administration
· Prepare scopes of work and manage tender processes
· Evaluate tenders and provide recommendations
· Coordinate subcontractor appointments and statutory compliance
· Manage subcontractor performance, variations, and finalisation of accounts
Project & Team Collaboration
· Liaise closely with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
· Support the Project Manager in program delivery and risk mitigation
· Contribute to site meetings, coordination, and reporting
· Maintain strong, professional relationships across all stakeholders
Governance, Safety & Quality
· Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and regulatory requirements
· Support implementation of safety, environmental, and quality systems
· Assist with inspections, handover documentation, and project close-out
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
· Minimum 5 years' experience as a Contract Administrator or Senior Contracts Administrator
· Proven experience on multi-residential, high-rise, or commercial projects
· Strong understanding of head contracts, subcontract agreements, and contract law principles
· Sound knowledge of construction methodology, sequencing, and site operations
· Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, claims, variations, and reporting at a senior level
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
· High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
· Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
· Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline
· Qualification must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related construction field
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Current Driver's Licence and Construction White Card
· Must hold Australian work authorisation
The Position

· Site-based and/or head office attendance Monday to Friday
· Occasional Saturdays as required
