General Medical Services Provider for Correctional Environments
The position requires a qualified health care professional to provide general medical services to patients within correctional environments in Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network facilities.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Nursing Unit Manager, Service Director Primary Care, and Clinical Director Primary Care to enhance existing services in line with organisational needs and best practice.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in General Practice, knowledge of contemporary clinical management, and modern approaches in assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide general medical services to patients within correctional environments.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance existing services.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
* Current medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) OR Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
* Proof of recognition as a specialist by the Specialists Recognition Advisory Committee Award.
* Demonstrated significant experience in General Practice with knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
