This is an open Expression of Interest that will assist the North West Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable candidates seeking casual employment with the Mount Isa Hospital's Operational Services. If suitable, your details will remain in the Talent Pool for 12 months and you may be contacted for further assessment (e.g., interview) when an opportunity arises.
Role and Responsibilities
* Cleaning Services - Cleaning of all floors, fixtures and fittings within the hospital buildings as directed and according to Queensland Health guidelines and policies.
* Laundry Services - Laundry services for patients and staff of the Mount Isa Hospital as per Queensland Health guidelines and policies.
* Food Services - Preparation and delivery of meals for patients, staff and other clients as per Queensland Health guidelines and policies.
* Ward Duties - Assist health care professionals in the provision of patient care work, performing a range of basic non-professional tasks and transporting patients as needed.

The North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) is responsible for public sector health services in the North West region, covering about 300,000 square kilometres and remote communities within North Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria. The Health Service aims to promote wellbeing, provide high-quality, accessible health services.
Requirements
* There are no mandatory qualifications required for this position.
* The position may require continuous shift work and to work all shifts as rostered.
* Physical ability to carry out frequent and repetitive lifting, manual handling of goods and patients.
* Adhere to Uniform Dress code for the Health Service.
* Pre-employment screening including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
