This is a pivotal role within the merchandise division, requiring an ambitious individual to foster long-standing partnerships with customers and provide tailored advice and services leveraging in-depth knowledge of agricultural products and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee sales and inventory management of a range of products and services, including agrochemicals, fertilizers, and other agricultural merchandise offerings.
* Collaborate closely with store managers, agronomists, and sales teams to deliver merchandise support such as stock takes, retail operations enhancements, on-farm meetings, technical information, and mentoring.
* Contribute to business strategy development and manage branch performance metrics. Negotiate with suppliers and develop pricing strategies, oversee stock levels, and market initiatives to maintain the business's competitive standing.
* Analyze market trends, climatic, and seasonal factors to ensure Nutrien Ag Solutions is the preferred choice for rural customers in the region.
Requirements
* Experience in pricing and margin management, as well as sales target achievement through effective category development.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders.
* Able to drive business outcomes and performance with excellent communication, both written and verbal.
* Exposure to SAP ERP and strong MS Excel skills for reporting are highly desirable.
* A valid forklift license is required, and a heavy rigid license will be advantageous.
