Your responsibilities will include: We're expanding our engineering team and have new Systems Engineer openings across a range of advanced Defence and technology programs.
As a Systems Engineer, you'll help shape next-generation capability by applying Model-Based Engineering ( MBE ) to design, develop and integrate complex systems.
You'll work closely with specialists, partner organisations and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that strengthen Australia's Defence and national security outcomes.
In this role, you will: Analyse and transform system and sub-system requirements into detailed designs within an MBE environment.
Define and manage system interfaces, ensuring full traceability throughout the design lifecycle.
Conduct trade studies and optimise design solutions against performance, cost, and schedule considerations.
Produce and maintain technical artefacts — including design descriptions, requirements documents, and analysis reports.
Participate in design reviews and support project planning, stakeholder engagement, and engineering assurance activities.
Contribute to estimates, bids, and continuous improvement initiatives across programs.
About you: You are a capable Systems Engineer who enjoys tackling complex technical problems and working in multidisciplinary teams.
You'll bring: Demonstrated experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, integration, and verification.
Knowledge of MBSE approaches and tools such as MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Cameo or similar.
Experience working on complex systems, ideally within Defence or high-technology environments.
Strong analytical, modelling, and documentation skills.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor or support junior engineers.
