About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team at Hume Bank.
Reporting to the Head of Credit, the Credit Analyst is responsible for assisting with the management of a portfolio of loans and customers, making decisions about loan applications while ensuring credit worthiness and compliance, and providing a great customer experience.
This is a full-time permanent position based at our Head Office in Albury, NSW. Flexible working arrangements, such as Working from Home are available when residing in the Albury area.
What you can expect:
* Conduct credit assessments and make recommendations based on financial information, systems, and external credit reporting tools available.
* Approve loans within specified DLA limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal stakeholders and where applicable, manage key external stakeholders relevant to the achievement of business objectives.
* Facilitate understanding and adherence to Credit policy and procedures.

About you:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
* Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)
* Previous experience as a credit analyst/assessor
* Knowledge of residential lending, business banking or commercial finance
* Sound knowledge of the principles of Responsible Lending / RG209
* Ability to read, analyse, and interpret loan applications, financial statements of income and expenses, and other related home loan documents
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Demonstrated evidence of business acumen, analytical, problem solving, and coaching skills
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Our process
* Once the role is closed, we review all applications against the requirements, creating a shortlist for further review.

* We conduct two rounds of interviews, with the first interview being held with the reporting manager and a member of our People Team. You may be invited back to a shorter second-round interview with the head of the department.
