Steakhouse in the heart of Gosford focusing on serving high quality meals for our guests whilst specializing on dry ageing and cooking with charcoal. We butcher and dry age in house to bring that special touch to our patrons as well as cooking all of our steaks exclusively on charcoal. We strive to push the boundaries on what a pub/hotel should be offering on our menus with using a lot of different culinary techniques along the way.
We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, so you must be willing to work weekends and evenings. 5-day working roster with two joint days off is guaranteed.
About You
* You have a genuine passion for the food industry, ensuring quality and maintain high standards and keep the kitchen running smoothly
* Understanding of HACCP and Work, Health and Safety legislation. Must have minimum Food Handlers Basics Certificate, ideally you will have completed Food Safety Supervisor training in the past 12 months.
* Passion for team development and mentoring your team
* Well rounded experience in all sections of the kitchen and a strong skill base on grill cooking i.e steaks.
About the Role
* Hands on role, leading by example while supporting and mentoring the team
* Working closely with the Head chef on menu creation and delivering a memorable experience to our guests
* Some administrative tasks including but not limited to stock take and ordering.
* A strong skill set when cooking on a grill.
