Our client, a well-regarded independent school, is renowned for cultivating a supportive and high-performing environment for both staff and students. As the HR and Compliance Officer, you will work closely with the HR & Compliance Manager to strengthen the school's people, risk, and compliance functions—ensuring operations remain safe, ethical, and aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end hiring processes, collaborate with leaders, refine position descriptions, and deliver a professional candidate experience.
* Help assess training needs, support staff development initiatives, and track training outcomes to build a capable and confident workforce.
* Assist in maintaining policies, conducting internal audits, monitoring legislative updates, and supporting safety and risk initiatives.
* Provide efficient administrative support across HR functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping and consistent process management.
* Contribute to staff and student wellbeing through robust WHS frameworks and compliance reporting.
You Will Bring:
* Qualifications or solid experience in Human Resources, compliance, or a related field.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
* Knowledge of WHS or education sector legislation (desirable but not essential).
