We’re heading into our busiest time of year and are looking for passionate hospitality professionals to join our event team
This isn’t your typical café or restaurant job, there’s no high stress over the-pass service, and we offer flexibility on prep days where possible. Every event is different, and you’ll get to work in a variety of locations across the beautiful Sunshine Coast and Hinterland, sometimes Gympie and Brisbane.

Position: Casual Event Chef Location: Tanawha (Main Kitchen) and Various offsite Venues
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes across various cuisines (buffets, plated, canapés, drop-off, etc.)
* Work off-site at weddings, corporate events, and private functions
* Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
* Pack and load equipment from the kitchen or warehouse to event locations
* Set up and operate in mobile kitchens, marquees, or event venues
* Follow run sheets, prep lists, and plating guides
* Communicate clearly with the Head Chef or Event Coordinator
* Adapt to changing conditions (e.g. weather, venue limitations, client requests)
* Help with pack-down and cleaning after service
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2–3 years experience in commercial kitchens or catering
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A driver's license is needed (Must be able to drive a work vehicle)
* Availability on weekends and evenings is essential (rarely Sundays are needed)
* Confidence with a range of equipment (combi ovens, hot boxes, induction burners, etc.)
* Positive attitude and strong communication skills
