Our highly reputable client delivers the most advanced coverage technology in vacuum equipment, and service a range of industries such as chemistry, mining, and power. are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join its Branch in Yatala.
With Branches nationally you will have the knowledge and support of other Field Technicians to have you hit the ground running.
The focus of the role is to provide the highest levels of field service and technical support which will directly drive the development and grow sales and service business. Areas of support typically cover installation, commissioning, maintenance & troubleshooting of all products as well as technical support.
Duties include:
* Complete installation and commissioning of vacuum pumps and systems for all brands.
* Provide service support, both in-house and field based service, for all products brands.
* A Fitter with some rotating equipment experience would be ideal
* Delivery of technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including failure analysis, good vacuum practice, safety etc.
* Assist in developing the region with the aim of increasing service revenue and performance, whilst providing a high level of customer satisfaction
* Promote Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Contract Maintenance (CM) contracts
* Ensuring that all field service activities are conducted within the boundaries of health and safety policies. Risk control elements covering all relevant aspects of the field service role must be adhered to at all times
* Able to provide accurate, factual reports to the team leader or technical support personnel to enable informed decisions to be made on a course of action to resolve product issues
* Able to use SAP to accurately capture service-related information as determined by the scope of responsibility for creation of field service notifications and orders, through to completion.
* Arrange de-contamination of pumps and equipment using local contractors if and where required
* Provide on-site and in-house product training for all stakeholders
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Minimum 2 years of field service experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally with a strong customer facing experience, vacuum equipment service and repairs, and service co-ordination experience
* Recognised mechanical / electronics trade or similar preferred
* Good understanding of vacuum application
* Previous experience with electronic vacuum gauges and instrumentation control systems, including installation, calibration and diagnosis via required communications protocol
* Experience with SAP or C4C CRM will be an advantage but not essential
* Forklift licence and Electrical connect / disconnect licence preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Possess very positive attitude and excellent customer relationship
* Result-oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm as your core hours, this is a fantastic opportunity to have the best of both worlds and be based close to home and also having to complete work in remote locations. To start with this will be a 2 month minimum contract with the view to extend.
