Job Title: Strategic Finance Partner
As a trusted advisor in our finance team, you will play a key role in providing expert guidance and support to clients, helping them achieve their objectives while making a real impact.
Main Responsibilities:
* Financial Advisory Services: Advise and assist client finance teams on accounting, budgeting, financial and management reporting.
* Cost Optimization: Enable better financial outcomes through cost modelling, pricing and charging reviews, sustainability analysis, forecasting, business case evaluation, procurement support and commercial assurance.
* Operational Excellence: Improve finance and corporate service functions by assessing and redesigning operating models, enhancing processes and controls, and supporting digitisation and automation.
* Industry Insights: Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends affecting government entities, and incorporate relevant insights into client solutions.
* Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and government entities.
Requirements:
* Experience: Experience in finance, accounting or related fields, supported by a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related discipline.
* Leadership Skills: Experience leading high-performing teams across multiple projects and deadlines.
* Accountancy Qualification: A relevant accountancy qualification (CA ANZ or CPA) is advantageous.
* Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Commonwealth Budget and Cabinet processes, including Budget Process Operational Rules, Cabinet Submissions, and Portfolio Budget Statements.
