About the Role
We are seeking two experienced Structural Engineers to join a major State Government department on a 12-month temporary assignment.
These roles will focus on the early stages of infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring high-quality project outcomes. You'll be responsible for scoping and planning new projects, developing high-level design options and reports for key stakeholders, and reviewing documentation prepared by panel engineers.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to large-scale public infrastructure initiatives within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Scope and plan early-stage infrastructure projects.
Develop high-level structural design options and feasibility reports.
Provide technical input and engineering advice to key stakeholders.
Review and assess documentation prepared by panel engineers.
Identify risks, opportunities, and improvements throughout project planning and design phases.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have :
Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, or Systems Engineering, or a related field - Essential
Demonstrated experience applying engineering principles to complex infrastructure or utility projects - Essential
Strong understanding of systems integration, requirements management, and lifecycle engineering - Essential
Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements - Essential
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Essential
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Essential
