About the role
You support the manager and lead the shift: service flow, standards, and team momentum. You’re hands‑on, quick, and you make the shop feel great.
This role is for any of our Canberra locations. We are open to full-time, part-time, or casual, depending on the candidate.
What you'll do
Run shifts smoothly: queue flow, station set‑up, and customer experience.
Model service standards: greet first, recommend, upsell and close with care.
Coach in the moment (kind + clear) and escalate issues when needed.
Check product quality and presentation across bread, pies, cakes, and coffee.
Support ordering, receiving deliveries, and sell‑out logging.
Keep hygiene routines strong: cabinets, benches, equipment, and FOH zones.
What we're looking for
Previous experience working in hospitality, or in customer service.
Ideally some experience in a leadership or supervisor role, but not required.
You lead by example — you’re the person others follow when it gets busy.
You’re reliable and you finish what you start.
You notice details: product, cleanliness, customer mood.
You communicate simply and confidently.
You genuinely enjoy helping others improve.
