What you will do:
* Provide expert input on planning permits, design reviews, and construction documentation.
* Ensure compliance with the Infrastructure Design Manual (IDM) and Council standards.
* Lead site inspections, manage subdivision fees, and certify development works.
* Build strong relationships with developers and consultants to support timely project delivery.
* Develop systems and procedures for engineering design, stormwater management, and traffic engineering.
* Manage and scope capital works projects, including cost estimates, tender documentation, and compliance audits.
* Act as the engineering referral point for planning and building applications.
* Deliver strategic and operational support across Council's infrastructure initiatives.
Key Skills: Subdivision engineering, stormwater modelling, traffic design, project management, stakeholder engagement, proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D or similar.
What you will bring:
* A Civil Engineering degree (Engineers Australia-recognised)
* Hands-on experience in subdivision design, stormwater systems, and pavement investigations
* Strategic mindset with a strong grasp of engineering standards and legislation
* Proficiency in IDM, hydrology, and hydraulic modelling
* Excellent communication and project management skills
* Ability to manage deadlines independently
* A current Police Check (issued within the last six months)
