Café Manager – Granite Freycinet, Coles Bay, Tasmania
Join our vibrant, locally owned café in the heart of Coles Bay, opposite Muirs Beach with stunning Freycinet views. By day we're a bustling spot for great coffee, breakfast, brunch & fresh Tasmanian eats; evenings (Thu–Sat) we switch to pizza, cocktails & wine. Family-friendly, tourist hotspot near Freycinet National Park.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead daily operations: opening/closing, service flow & peak period management
* Plan & review menus with kitchen team, focusing on seasonal/local produce
* Manage stock, suppliers, purchasing & inventory
* Oversee finances: sales reporting, cost control & payroll
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, WHS & council regs
* Recruit, train, roster & supervise front-of-house + kitchen staff
* Deliver exceptional customer service – handle enquiries, feedback & complaints
* Support events/functions & jump in on service when busy
What We're Looking For:
* Diploma in hospitality/management (preferred) OR 3+ years relevant café/restaurant experience
* Proven track record supervising teams & running daily operations
* Strong leadership, organisation & communication skills
* Solid knowledge of food safety & workplace compliance
* Thrive in fast-paced, seasonal tourist environments
