About The Role
The Haematology Clinical Nurse Consultant (Acute Leukaemia/Myeloid and CAR T Cell) will facilitate evidence based individualised, coordinated care for patients with haematological malignancies across the cancer trajectory.
The Haematology Clinical Nurse Consultant (Acute Leukaemia/Myeloid and CAR T Cell) is a highly skilled and motivated practitioner who will utilise expert skills, knowledge and experience to work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team according to the complexity of care required and the individual need of the patients in their care.
Duties
function as a resource person to patients, carers, families, clinical services, and community agencies
deliver a coordinated, evidence based, seamless, and patient focused approach to care through specialist educational resources for patients, carers, and staff
work independently and establish extensive interdisciplinary collaborations across primary, secondary and tertiary health
maintain a close collaborative working relationship with the medical oncology team, chemotherapy day unit and inpatient ward staff
Classifications
Classifications for this position will range from ZA7 - ZA8 ($119,324 - $122,163 per annum; pro rata.)
Your Contribution
Post graduate qualification in oncology or haematology
AHPRA nursing registration division 1
Experience in caring for patients with haematological malignancies

About The Haematology Unit
The department of Clinical Haematology provides comprehensive services to in-patients, day patients, outpatients, and outreach clinics, through diagnosis and management of a wide range of benign and malignant haematological conditions. The department also has an active clinical trials and research program and is engaged in medical education at all levels.
