About The RoleThe Bone Marrow Assistant works alongside haematologists and the clerical booking team to organise and support bone marrow collections. The role involves working across hospital/wards, day units, the laboratory and QML clinics, ensuring procedures run smoothly and samples are handled correctly.
This role would suit a QML collector who is good with people and comfortable working with both patients and hospital staff. They're used to busy clinical environments and communicate well with different teams. They're also confident reading and understand request forms and are very careful with patient ID and labelling.
