The role
You'll lead project delivery while helping establish Symal's presence in a new region. Joining a newly formed team, this is a unique position that provides fast-tracked opportunities for career advancement into Project Management as the business expands in South Australia.
Your impact
Bringing your self-performing experience, you'll lead teams to deliver projects efficiently and safely. You'll be a key contributor in growing our culture, tackling challenges, and ensure high-quality results the whole team can be proud of.
Your everyday
* Managing the construction program on projects up to 20 million and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track.
* Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
* Participating in monthly financial reviews, providing cost forecasts against budgets and using commercial acumen to make financial decisions
* Working closely with the client, ensuring risks are mitigated and progress is communicated effectively.
* Leading and supporting a strong safety culture.
Who are you?
* Extensive engineering experience on a broad range of civil projects such as road, earthworks, drainage, land division and infrastructure
* The ability to lead and manage smaller scale projects
* Sound understanding of the local construction industry and familiarity with contractors, councils and clients
* Current South Australian Drivers Licence
