Overview
Are you comfortable developing and leading new businesses in the tech and payments including credit card, BNPL, loyalty and promotions? Do you want to lead the development of new revenue streams for Amazon that will have a significant and measurable impact on the bottom line? Amazon Australia's payments business needs an experienced Business Development Manager to help us grow by winning new partnerships.
As a Business Development Manager, you will primarily be accountable for the strategy to grow the 3P business by developing partnerships and signing new deals with fintechs, banks, and travel/hospitality companies. To achieve success, you must have experience presenting to executives, influencing internal and external partners, driving cross-team coordination, along with a basic knowledge of technology.
Responsibilities
* Sourcing, negotiating and signing deals with partners across APAC
* Creating a business development strategy and framework in support of the product vision and delivery timeline and work closely with internal product teams
* Defining key partnership deal terms with business, legal, and technical teams
* Building critical relationships across the industry
* Managing and driving growth with strategic partnerships
* Building and Leveraging established relationships across Amazon to drive payments growth
* Payments processing and acquiring knowledge, experience negotiating merchant payment contracts across pricing constructs and terms
Qualifications
* 6+ years of professional or military experience
* Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business
* Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
* Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
* Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
* MBA
