Responsibilities
* Deliver expert coaching, advice, and direction to managers, business partners, and workers on WHS responsibilities, systems, and proactive safety monitoring methods.
* Drive implementation of WHS systems and programs, supporting risk mitigation, incident investigation, and safety performance improvement.
* Provide expert guidance to foster a safe and supportive workplace, managing both physical hazards and psychosocial risks.
* Develop and implement WHS policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with legislative requirements and best practices.
* Provide guidance and support in managing non-work-related health conditions that may impact workplace health, safety, and performance.
* Prepare and deliver clear, compliant correspondence, reports, publications, and briefs aligned with agency requirements and WorkSafe Australia standards, including psychosocial safety considerations.
* Guide People and Culture and cultivate stakeholder relationships to maintain consistent workplace safety practices and ensure WHS compliance.
* Manage WHS compliance across the organization and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Injury Management, or relevant professional experience.
* Relevant experience in providing work health and safety advice in a workplace setting.
* Proven expertise in advising and supporting managers and staff on WHS processes, risk identification, and safety management to promote a safe workplace culture.
* Strong up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry and WHS legislation, government policies, and psychosocial safety.
* Experience in a government or public sector setting is preferred.
* Experience supporting cases involving non-work-related health conditions and workplace injuries.

Additional Information
* This role may require evening, night, weekend and/or shift work, in accordance with operational needs and Award provisions.
* To be eligible for this role you must have current Australian work rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with a current passport, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia).
* Successful candidates may be required to complete multiple virtual Epic training sessions and Epic orientation, all scheduled in U.S. time.
* For this role 'Exempt' refers to a fixed term contract of more than 13 weeks.
