Business Development Manager
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Corporate and Commercial Team.
This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office, collaborating with our team to drive business growth and develop strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience managing a portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts, developing new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.
The role will provide exposure to a diverse portfolio of risks, participating in new business tenders and proposals, building a network of opportunities, and assisting with the placement of complex insurance programs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts while ensuring high-quality customer service.
* Developing, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities.
* Growing a commercial portfolio through new logo and organic expanded opportunities.
* On-boarding new clients and delivering on our value proposition.
* Developing and maintaining meaningful working relationships with insurers.
* Planning and implementing effective renewal and broking strategies.
* Ensuring effective account retention and defense strategies are in place for all clients.
* Actively participating in claim-related matters.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Ideally 1-2 years of broking experience.
* Clear and effective communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team.
* Moderate knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
* Motivation to self-start, enhanced by time management skills.
* Capability to identify and address issues through innovative thinking.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite and demonstrated ability to learn systems quickly.
* Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualifications or higher.
