The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a proactive and dedicated Safety Advisor to join our team in Bunbury and surrounding areas. This pivotal role acts as the link between operations and management, ensuring safety policies and procedures are effectively implemented and aligned with legislative requirements.

You'll be passionate about workplace health and safety, with a strong commitment to fostering a culture that prioritises the wellbeing of our people. This is a hands-on role, working closely on site with site management to provide guidance, support, and continuous improvement across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management : Conduct regular risk assessments and identify workplace hazards, implementing control measures to mitigate risks.

Policy & Procedure Compliance : Oversee the consistent application of safety procedures, ensuring alignment with best practice standards.

Training & Development : Deliver safety training, support the development of training packages, and maintain accurate training records.

Incident Investigation : Lead thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend preventative actions.

Auditing & Inspection : Carry out routine inspections and internal audits to maintain compliance and drive improvements.

Emergency Preparedness : Assist in the development of emergency response procedures and facilitate drills to ensure readiness.

Reporting & Analysis : Maintain detailed health and safety records, analyse performance data, and identify trends to inform future strategy.

HSE Advisory Support : Provide expert safety advice across the organisation, stay up to date with WHS legislation and industry changes.

Promoting Safety Culture : Champion health and safety awareness across all levels of the business through communication, initiatives, and leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement : Liaise with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to manage safety outcomes and represent the company in WHS-related forums.

About You

Diploma or Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or significant demonstrated industry experience in an HSE role (essential)

Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessing (essential)

Minimum 2 years in a safety advisory role, ideally within an SMP or related industrial environment.

Construction White Card (essential).

C Class Driver's Licence (essential).

Recent certification in Working at Heights and Confined Space (within 2 years).

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.

Solid analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
