Position Summary
Rise and Shine Learning Centre is seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood (Pre‐primary School) Teacher to deliver high-quality, play‐based and structured learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The role involves supporting children's holistic development in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and implement structured learning experiences across indoor and outdoor environments
* Deliver a variety of activities to support children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
* Promote language and communication development through storytelling, role play, music, and group interaction
* Observe, assess, and document children's progress and developmental needs
* Monitor children's health, safety, and wellbeing, identifying any concerns impacting development
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's learning and progress
* Attend parent interviews, staff meetings, and centre planning sessions
* Participate in community engagement and family support initiatives
* Supervise and mentor student teachers during placements
Skills & Experience Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Equivalent or higher (ACECQA‐approved)
* Current VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain)
* At least 1 year experience in early childhood teaching settings
* Strong knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Framework (NQF)
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Ability to support diverse learning needs
