About the Role
We are currently seeking Construction Security Oversight Officers to support the delivery of project security requirements on a major infrastructure project based at HMAS Stirling.
This site-based position involves working closely with our project team and the client to ensure compliance with all construction-related security protocols.
While prior experience in construction, project management, occupational health and safety, or similar roles is advantageous, it is not essential. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a solid work ethic—we can provide the necessary training and support to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
In close collaboration and consultation with project teams, manage the provision of a comprehensive physical and technical construction site security program, including maintaining close supervision, site access control and monitoring of construction site personnel. Responsibilities include:
• Monitor site works and report issues or concerns identified.
• Comply with the Construction Security Plan (CSP), security protocols and policies.
• Document and report any security incidents in a timely manner to the CSO Team Leader
and ensure the reporting obligations are met.
• Verify site access and controls.
• Check and investigate any installation deviations from the Security Specifications.
• Attend stand-up meetings daily for update briefs and taskings.
• Maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in good condition.
• Follow directions of the Construction Manager in the event of a Work Health and Safety
(WHS) incident as well as any internal reporting obligations where necessary; and
• Conduct random item inspections including the screening of construction materials,
equipment, deliveries and personnel.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
• An active NV1 or NV2 security clearance is required as the minimum level for this position.
• Candidates must currently hold an active security clearance at the time of application.
• NV1 security clearance must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the time of application.
• Australian citizenship (mandatory)
• A valid National Police Check
• A current Construction Induction White Card
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities
