Full‐time (1.0 FTE) teaching and research associate position based in the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences at Adelaide University's City East Campus.
Salary range: Level B – $114,917–$135,932 + 17% superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Deliver undergraduate and honours instruction in physical chemistry, focusing on computational and theoretical chemistry.
* Supervise honours, Master of Research, and PhD students.
* Establish and maintain a strong research profile in physical chemistry with a focus on computational/theoretical approaches.
* Develop an externally funded research program by securing competitive grants from national funding bodies and industry partners.
* Foster collaborations within the university and with national/international partners, including industry, and engage with interdisciplinary research institutes.
Qualifications
* PhD in Chemistry.
Experience
* Demonstrated research excellence in physical chemistry with a focus on computational or theoretical approaches, with an outstanding publication record.
* Ability to develop an independent research program and establish research links locally, nationally, and internationally.
* Teaching experience in chemical sciences at the undergraduate level.
* Evidence of engagement with the broader chemistry and scientific community.
* Strong verbal and written communication, organisational, time management, intercultural and interpersonal skills.
