The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive our sales effort, working closely with the team to identify and develop strategies for new business opportunities, manage relationships with partners, and contribute to Civillo's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle outbound sales efforts and inbound sales enquiries.
* Manage all stages of the sales cycle - including prospect research, lead generation, cold outreach, follow-ups, negotiations, and closing deals.
* Assist and conduct demos of products to prospective and existing clients, both online and in-person.
* Assist with onboarding new customers and provide ongoing account support.
* Collaborate with internal teams to refine sales strategies, improve processes, and ensure brand consistency.
* Liaise with the development team to communicate client suggestions and feedback about our product.
* Prepare and deliver monthly sales activity and results reports.
* Represent Civillo at marketing events, client meetings, and industry conferences.
Requirements:
* A good understanding of the construction/civil engineering and/or surveying/geospatial industry.
* Previous experience in sales or account management roles, ideally in a B2B environment, is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal skills - you enjoy talking with clients and prospects to uncover and deliver the best outcomes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise critical tasks while remaining detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in CRM systems is preferred.
* Willing to work both in-office and remotely, with occasional travel.
