Position Overview:
HII-Australia is looking for a motivated individual to join its local team as a
Project and Finance Administrator
. This is a full-time position supporting a Canberra-based and Perth-based, team in Australia. The role can be based in
Canberra or remote-work
from a major metropolitan location.
This role will support the development of Australia's nuclear powered submarine enterprise working closely with HII in the US and local Australian HII leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
The
Project Finance and Administration
role will report to the Program Director and support the executive team leaders for the operational management reporting and finance administration of the project.
* Administrates activities within a Defence contract requiring interface with US and Australian-based team members.
* Programming and Budgeting preparation for review and approval of the Program Director and Senior staff.
* Scheduling and integrating multiple personnel and activities into a master schedule.
* Preparing presentations and reports for the Program Director.
* Tracking project actions.
* Monitors project costs against associated budgets.
* Cost and time recording and governance checks.
* Manage program invoicing.
* Purchase order and subcontractor payment processing.
* Audit and compliance support.
* Support development of financial reports and presentations.
* Month-end and year-end close assistance.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* 3-5+ years of experience as a finance and/or project administrator.
* Degree qualification in relevant professional field (eg Finance, Business and Project Management).
* Working knowledge of Australia Department of Defence cost principles.
* If remote work outside of Canberra, willingness to undertake regular, planned travel to support program needs.
Desirable Experience:
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
* 3-5+ years of experience in a comparable role.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Defence Clearance:
* Must have a minimum "Baseline" Defence Security Clearance.
* Willing to increase additional security clearance level pending requirements.
