About the Role
Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Macquarie Care, Bathurst, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person-centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.
* Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
* Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
* Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures
To be successful in this role you'll need
* A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
* Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
* Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
* Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
* Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues
* Strong coaching/training skills
* Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
* Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
* Competent IT skills
* Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
