About Us
Polymetals (ASX: POL) acquired the Endeavor Mine in 2023 and formally took control in August 2024. Endeavor is a major underground silver/lead/zinc mine, located 40km north-west of Cobar in Central-West NSW. Since then, Polymetals has delivered an initial 10-year mine plan, secured a US $20million (A$30million) loan facility, and have now restarted mining operations in June 2025. It's an exciting time for Endeavour and the Cobar region, with significant employment opportunities now coming to market for the Endeavour Mine restart: one of Australia's major base metals mines.
The Role
We are currently seeking experienced Underground Charge Up Operators to join the mining team at Endeavor Mine.
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, you will be responsible for safe and efficient charging activities across both production and development areas of the mine.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Conducting charge-up of development headings and stopes using emulsion products and blast initiation systems
* Ensuring compliance with all mine safety and explosive handling procedures
* Conducting pre-blast inspections and ensuring working areas are secured prior to firing
* Working closely with the Drill & Blast team to execute daily charge plans in line with production schedules
* Assisting with general underground operational activities as required
* Maintaining accurate records of charge volumes, initiation systems used, and blast results
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Proven underground experience in charge-up operations across both development and production environments
* Current BEUL and UHL tickets
* Strong familiarity with emulsion charging systems
* A strong safety focus, with the ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
* Ability to work to plan in a dynamic, fast-paced mining environment
