The Role
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Fitter is a key role in joining the onsite maintenance team in Epping on a permanent basis for an immediate start. The maintenance fitter will provide trade assistance towards the upkeep, installation and troubleshooting of all production‑based equipment, plant, and machinery, with the key focus of ensuring operational efficiency targets and minimal down time.
* Onsite mechanical work – welding and fabrication is necessary
* Undertake servicing and preventative maintenance of all machinery, plant and equipment
* Fault finding and repairs on manufacturing equipment
* Liaising with other trades, contractors, maintenance, and production management
* Maintain stock levels of spare parts and consumable items to assist in production
* Update and maintain preventative maintenance records on works carried out
The Person
You are currently a mechanical maintenance fitter in a manufacturing environment. You will need to be safety focused, physically fit and able to complete manual tasks.
In order to be considered for this position you must possess the following:
* Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate
* Minimum of 5 years work experience in a mechanical environment
* Hold a current forklift licence would be advantageous
* Welding, Boiler Making and Fabrication experience
* A commitment to quality and accuracy
