DKR Logistics is a joint venture with Dyers Distribution that services the Brisbane metro, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Northern Rivers and Toowoomba regional areas.
Our Fleet consists of Rigid Trucks, Prime Movers and Trailing fleet including but not limited to the following: -
Ø Fridge Units - Thermo King and Carrier
Ø Tailgates - Dhollandia and Anteo
Ø Semi-Trailers - Vawdrey, Peki, Maxitrans, Schmitz CargoBull and Cartwright
Ø Rigids - Hino, Mitsubishi, Isuzu
Ø Primes - DAFs, Volvo and Daysworth
What your role consists of
You will be responsible for the breakdowns, maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, ensuring they are operating safely and efficiently to support our business.
· Perform various maintenance task to prevent breakdowns and maximise vehicle uptime
· Diagnose and repair various mechanical and electrical faults on heavy vehicles
· Respond, Support & Co Ordinate Fleet breakdowns.
· Work independently to complete jobs in a timely and efficient manner
· Effectively communicate with drivers, managers, customers, and suppliers
· Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used
What we're looking for
· Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with 3+ years of hands-on experience (Field Service Desirable)
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve faults
· Expert knowledge of heavy vehicle systems and components, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and electrical systems
· Confident in the use of computerised diagnostic equipment (Jaltest Diagnostics) and workshop tools
· Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
· Current HR / HC QLD Licence
Desirable but not essential:
· Exposure to fridge units (Thermo King and Carrier)
· Exposure to hydraulic tailgates (Dhollandia and Anteo)
· Ability to use smart phone apps and fleet maintenance system (Gearbox)
· Basic PC skills in Microsoft office
· Yellow Card (Boom & Scissor)
· Forklift Licence
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a medical assessment, national police check and confirmation of right to work in Australia, before the commencement of employment.
