We are currently seeking an Accountant /Senior Accountant, a full‐time role based at our Mt Barker office. Undertakes the technical elements of the role including EOM, BS reconciliation, reporting, forecast, budget, finance analysis, tax and compliance, insurance claim, overseeing AP, AR, banking and payroll, while also contributes to cost modelling, project implementation and team managing, as the backup of other team members.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Provide financial and administrative support to the finance and management teams ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
Prepare EOM journals and reports.
Reconcile accounts and prepare finance analysis.
Prepare and review weekly and monthly cash forecast.
Prepare insurance claim and reports.
Prepare BAS, payroll tax and other compliance requirements.
Prepare and assist with annual report and audit.
Oversee AP AR payroll and banking.
Assist with team managing.
Assist with cost modelling, tender process and project implementation.
Ad hoc accounting and administration duties as required.
The successful candidate should possess:
Have the right to work in Australia.
Degree qualified in accounting / commerce, completed CA/CPA (or currently undertaking).
A minimum of 3 years in a hands‐on accountant role within a finance department.
Have strong Excel skills with sound knowledge of GP, MicroPay or similar accounting system.
Experience with finance reporting and analysis, new project implementation and costing modelling.
Previous experience in the bus services or transportation industry is highly desirable.
Good knowledge in accounting, tax and payroll.
Attention to detail, timeliness and adaptability.
A can‐do attitude and willing to learn.
The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.

SouthLink operates and manages route, school and special bus services under contract to the South Australian Government for the Outer South, Outer North and Hills Contract Areas of metropolitan Adelaide.
We operate out of seven bus depots located at Lonsdale and Seaford in the south, Elizabeth, Pooraka and Willaston in the north and Aldgate and Mt Barker in the Adelaide Hills.
We have a team of over 660 dedicated transport professionals whom we employ across the seven main depots, the majority of these being Bus Drivers, Maintenance, Operations and Administration employees make up the balance of the staff.
